Boarding

Horse boarding services at our facility include caring for active broodmares and foals, both Standardbreds and Thoroughbreds, as well as weanlings and yearlings. With our large open spaces and lush grasslands, your horse will not only receive physical exercise but also have ample opportunities for socialization with other horses. Additionally, there are well-maintained small and large paddocks with bedding and hay racks. We also provide scheduled vaccines and dewormers, daily turnout, as well as individualized feeding needs.

Breeding

Our state-of-the-art facilities include paddocks with adequate separation between mares and weanlings for safe turnout. In addition to stud service and boarding, we offer mare care and foaling, breaking, layups, and sales preparation services. Foaling

At Foggy Bottom Farms, we specialize in breeding and raising thoroughbreds. Our experienced team offers 24-hour camera-monitored foaling stalls for mares and their foals, as well as private paddocks for post-birth bonding time. We have lush fields where the mares and foals can play together. We also offer general mare care for any filly transitioning into a maiden mare or an older broodmare nursing her next winner. Regardless of your objectives, our specialized team will ensure that your mare is safe, healthy, and content.

Training

We prepare them to compete at their highest potential. Our clients are kept informed through regular progress reports and close communication, ensuring peace of mind that their horse is being cared for properly.

Sales Prep and Representation

Preparing a thoroughbred horse for sale is an involved process, but one that can result in a "sale topper" when done properly. The prep includes daily exercise and grooming, ensuring the horse has time to graze as well as feeding him morning and afternoon with appropriate supplements. Additionally, hand walking and Equiciser training are important to develop a working relationship between the groom and horse. Foggy Bottom Farms' expertise in sales preparation makes them a great partner in preparation for the sale ring, helping to showcase horses' movement, willingness, and efficiency in order to ensure the best possible outcome for both buyer and seller.
